Reclamo a Cheapoair
Dear westjet customer relations team,
i am writing to submit a formal complaint and compensation claim regarding a missed flight caused by negligence and poor handling by westjet employees, which resulted in a significant disruption to our travel, rebooking delays, additional expenses, and unnecessary discomfort.

2) what happened
our original flight was scheduled to depart at 4:30 pm. However, due to westjet staff negligence and mismanagement, we missed this flight through no fault of our own.
as a result, we were rebooked on another flight which ultimately departed at 8:00 pm (not 7:00 pm as initially scheduled), creating a delay of more than three (3) hours compared to our original itinerary.
additionally, we arrived in toronto at approximately 1:00 am, which made it impossible for our family members to pick us up due to the late hour. Therefore, we were forced to take a taxi and incurred an additional cost of cad $43, an expense that would not have occurred had the original itinerary been respected.

3) seating conditions on rebooked flight
furthermore, after being rebooked, we were assigned to very uncomfortable seats in the last rows (row 31) with extremely limited legroom, to the extent that we could not properly move our feet or legs. This significantly worsened the travel experience, especially considering that the disruption was caused by westjet staff negligence.

under the air passenger protection regulations (appr – canada), when the disruption is within the airline’s control and passengers experience a delay of 3 hours or more, they are entitled to compensation.
therefore, we are formally requesting:
